Single Channel VT explores the moving image and time based media through a series of ongoing collaborative viewings and discussions and an annual juried video festival.
Artist curated screenings are presented throughout the year highlighting the history, practitioners, and genres of the moving image and time based media. Each event showcases the work of an artist who also presents the work of another artist they are inspired by, or in conversation with. We appreciate the importance of many perspectives and the potential for meanings to multiply, shift, and deepen through shared experiences.
We are Kate Donnelly, Thatiana Oliveira, and Sumru Tekin.
Single Channel VT recognizes that it occupies the unceded lands of the Abnaki, Mahican, Pennacook and other indigenous peoples.
We also recognize that many existing systems of power, including arts organizations, grant privilege and access unequally. We seek to engage with artists and their work without regard to, and with respect of, their race, class, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender identity & expression, geography, citizenship status, religion and mental or physical ability.
Single Channel Vt is a project of Snake House VT, a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization.
